Terms and Conditions for Curious Keys Music School
FEES
Term fees should be paid before your second lesson of the term. We appreciate payment by Bank transfer (details will be on your invoice - Please use STUDENT NAME as reference) - we don’t have a card facility at the school. Late payment may incur an extra fee and Curious Keys reserves the right to cancel student’s lessons if payment schedules are not adhered to. If paying by cash, please ensure that the exact amount is given to your teacher with student’s name on it. Receipts will be emailed.
Fees include weekly class and sheet music as required. All books will be charged as extra (only as required) and new piano students will automatically be billed €12 for a beginner piano book at the start of the term.
There are three terms in this year’s teaching year. September to Christmas break (14 weeks), January to St. Patrick’s weekend (9 weeks) and Post-St. Patrick’s weekend to June Bank Holiday weekend (9 weeks). Please refer to your calendar for dates and holidays.
CANCELLATION POLICY
1: If you cannot attend your lesson please inform your teacher directly via the contact details provided to you at the start of the term.
2: Lessons cancelled by students regrettably cannot be refunded or rescheduled. If a suitable space happens to be free within a teachers normal schedule they may offer this to you. Please kindly note, this is only offered on a discretionary basis and there is no obligation on the school or teacher to make up your missed class.
Students also sometimes have the option of taking their lesson online on the same day and time. Please notify your teacher on the morning of your lesson and they will arrange your online lesson. Note: This isn’t suitable for all students and should be discussed with your teacher. This is also not possible for group lessons - only for 1:1 classes.
2: If a teacher has to cancel a lesson, missed lessons will be made-up either the week after the term ends or on a mutually suitable time which will be arranged directly by the teacher with their students.
GENERAL
1: If you wish to discuss your child’s progress please do so at the start of your child’s lesson as a courtesy to the next student.
2: We appreciate you attending on time for class; if you are late for a class, regrettably we cannot extend your lesson over the normal finish time out of respect to the next students.
3: It is expected that parents/guardians will collect their children at the appointed time. There is no provision for supervision of students either before or after their lesson time.
4: Students are expected to behave in an appropriate manner while on the premises. Respect for fellow students, teachers, equipment, resources and facilities are imperative.
